LAND FOR SALE IN
You have found this lot for sale in Hawi, HI, which is in Hawaii County. Land is in high demand in Hawaii in 2022, and whether you are a potential homeowner looking for a lot for sale or a builder or developer seeking homesites or development land for sale for your next project, the perfect property for you may be found in Hawaii on LotNetwork. Located 2,000 miles southwest off the continental U.S., Hawaii was the last of the 50 states to be added, gaining statehood in 1959. Aloha State is a beach-lover’s dream, a surfing mecca, and enjoys a flourishing tourism industry that generates most of the state’s revenue. Hawaii is the only state consisting entirely of islands, eight of which are considered the main islands, but only six of which are regularly visited. In order of population, Oahu, home to the capital city Honolulu as well as Pearl Harbor, is the largest. Hawaii, also known as The Big Island, is a distant second, but with more land mass than all the others combined. Maui is next and is known for its whale-watching and some of the most breathtaking beaches in the world. Kauai follows, known for lush vegetation that earned it the nickname the Garden Isle. About half of Molokai’s population is native Hawaiian, unlike the other islands. Little Lanai is a perfect place to get away from it all, with only 3,000 people and not a single traffic light. The remaining two islands are Niihau, which is privately owned and only has a few hundred residents, and Kahoolawe, which is uninhabited. The weather in Hawaii is tropical and divided into a dry season (May to October) and a wet season (the remainder of the year), with highs generally in the 80s throughout the year. Hawaii, or The Big Island, has the distinction of exhibiting 11 of 13 defined climactic zones including rainforests and snowcapped mountains. Mauna Kea, the state’s highest peak at 13,796 feet, is located there as are Maunaloa and Kilauea, active volcanoes which draw millions of visitors annually to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The state has two official languages, English and Hawaiian, and some natives speak Hawaii Creole English, referred to as pidgin. Thanks to a thriving surfing culture, some pidgin terms (like kahuna, which means important or knowledgeable person) have spread into popular vernacular. People native to the state are called Hawaiians, but other residents are called islanders. Whether they’re enjoying the state’s considerable outdoor pursuits or feasting on the fresh fruit, residents of Hawaii are taking good care of themselves, being one of the healthiest states in the U.S., according to the United Health Foundation.
If you are seeking property in Hawaii, you will find a wide variety of choices, from beachfront or ocean property for sale, mountain lots, waterfront land, river property, lake land, golf course lots, and other types of vacant land for sale.
